Weekend Tour: Two Capitals
Day 1. Arrival in Tbilisi
- Transfer to the hotel Free time.
- Relaxation Transfer to a restaurant serving national cuisine for dinner (additional $20 charge).
- Enjoy lively songs, dances, and a disco.
Day 2. Saturday. Excursion to Mtskheta - Tbilisi.
Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit to the first capital of Georgia, often called the Second Jerusalem.
Drive to Jvari Monastery. Standing on its terrace provides the most famous view of Georgia, the hallmark of the country – the confluence of the Aragvi and Kura rivers, the very rivers Lermontov wrote about in his poem 'Mtsyri.'
Descend to Mtskheta, home to the majestic Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. It houses seven Christian relics.
There will be time to stroll through the streets, visit the souvenir market, and choose from a variety of items: magnets, sweets, clothes, famous Svan hats, jewelry, household items… You name it!
Lunchtime.
Transfer to Tbilisi – Old Town: Injiri Gorge with a waterfall in the city center, the Glass Bridge of Peace, Meidan Square, Metekhi Church, Narikala Fortress, Rezo Gabriadze Marionette Theater, the oldest church in Tbilisi – Anchiskhati (VI century), and other attractions.
Masterclass on making khachapuri with wine.
Free time. Night at the hotel
