You don't need to plan a long vacation if you want to relax! And having fun while relaxing is even better! Choose any three days to visit Georgia and immerse yourself in a completely different world - a world of color, friendly locals, delicious wine, and inspiring nature.

You will explore the cities of Tbilisi and Mtskheta, often called the second Jerusalem, and visit Kakheti, where you will learn about the history of wine and taste the finest varieties.

Day 1. Tbilisi

  • Arrival in Tbilisi
  • Transfer to the hotel
  • Evening tour of Tbilisi - Old Town:
    • The Metekhi Church and Bridge
    • Monument to Vakhtang Gorgasali (founder of Tbilisi)
    • Peace Bridge
    • Meidan Square
    • Freedom Square
    • Narikala Fortress (12th-13th century)
    • Sunni Mosque (18th century)
    • Sulfur baths (without visiting)
    • Rezo Gabriadze Marionette Theater
    • The oldest church in Tbilisi, Anchiskhati – 6th century
    • Sioni Cathedral

• Dinner at a restaurant serving national cuisine with a folklore program

Day 2. Kakheti

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • This day will be fun, green, delicious, beautiful, rich, and filled with wine!
  • And it's all because you will head to the homeland of winemaking - the Kakheti region.
  • Despite having breakfast at the hotel, there will be a stop for a second breakfast: homemade cheese and dedas puri - 'mom's bread.' You will see how bread is prepared according to ancient tradition and taste it fresh from the oven.
  • The ancient monastery of St. Nino, the enlightener of Georgia, and her burial place - a place of pilgrimage. You will take a walk on the premises and take photos from the observation deck.
  • The town of Signagi is perched on a hill right above the Alazani Valley. From here, you'll enjoy breathtaking views, a long fortress wall that you will walk along, a national museum, charming squares, and an old market. Strolling through the winding streets with numerous souvenir shops will be a pleasant experience.
  • Descending into the Alazani Valley, you will head to the town of Kvareli. Along the way, you will have views of the Greater Caucasus Mountains and vineyards. At a winery, you will have a wine tasting session, and you will also have the opportunity to purchase some wine. And, of course, what is Kakheti without barbeque! Later, return to the hotel in Tbilisi.

 

Day 3. Mtskheta

  • Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out.
  • You will visit the first capital of Georgia - Mtskheta, often referred to as the second Jerusalem. Jvari Monastery.
  • Georgia's postcard view - the confluence of the Aragvi and Kura rivers. This place served as the prototype for the monastery in Lermontov's poem Mtsyri.
  • Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. It still houses Christian relics, including the mantle of the Prophet Elijah, the relics of Andrew the First-Called, and the Chiton of Jesus Christ. You will stroll through the old streets, visit the souvenir market, and try wine ice cream. Lunch. Transfer to the airport.
