Jvari temple

The temple of Jvari has existed since the 6th century AD. It owes its origin primarily to St. Nino, who placed a sacred cross on this place, and later a temple was built there. “Jvari” so and translates from Georgian - cross.

Jvari is one of the visiting cards of Georgia and a cult place for tourists from different countries. The temple itself is majestic, and the views from its observation deck are inspiring: the town of Bagineti and the Predmtskheti hills, the temples, the bird's eye view and the famous panorama of the confluence of the two rivers - the Kura and the Aragvi.
