PROGRAM

 

Day 1. October 22

Departure from Tbilisi to the magnificent Racha, a region that captivates with its landscapes and history. On the way, we’ll pass by a picturesque lake and cross the Nakerala Pass, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Our first major stop will be the unique natural formation of Tskhradjvari. This rocky cliff, towering 150 meters above the town of Tkibuli, provides stunning panoramic views of the Imereti region.

Next, we’ll head to the Shaori Reservoir, where you'll have the opportunity to capture stunning photographs. The autumn forest surrounding the lake will be painted in vibrant colors, and the snow-capped peaks on the horizon will provide a perfect backdrop for your shots.

Upon arrival in Ambrolauri, we’ll check into a comfortable hotel before heading to the waterfalls to enjoy their majestic views and refreshing atmosphere. In the evening, we’ll savor a traditional dinner featuring local lobiani with lari (bean-filled bread with Rachian ham) and a glass of renowned Khvanchkara, a Georgian wine with a unique flavor.

Day 2. October 23

After a delicious breakfast, we'll embark on a walk through the vineyards, enjoying the beauty of the winemaking region and learning more about the production of this famous wine.

Next, we’ll take an easy trek to the Sairme Pillars—natural stone formations consisting of tall, narrow columns rising above the lush green landscapes. This captivating site will offer fantastic photo opportunities and a chance to fully appreciate the beauty of nature

Lechkhumi

We will then continue our journey to the Orbeliani Pass, where a panoramic view unfolds across three regions of Georgia: Lechkhumi, Imereti, and Lower Svaneti. This breathtaking vista will impress you with its beauty and scale.

In the evening, we will arrive at the resort town of Tskhaltubo. If you wish, you can visit the Prometheus Cave—Georgia's largest cave, renowned for its grand stalactites and stalagmites.

 

Day 3. October 24

We will travel to Mestia, the cultural and historical heart of Svaneti. Along the way, we will visit the Dadiani Palace in Zugdidi and its picturesque park. Here, you will enjoy lunch at one of the finest restaurants in Samegrelo, where you'll experience the rich flavors and aromas of Megrelian cuisine.

Day 4. October 25

A free day in Mestia awaits you. Explore the town at your own pace, visit its museums, sample local cuisine at various restaurants, and take a stroll to the ancient towers. In the evening, we’ll head to an open area with panoramic mountain views, where you can take stunning photos on swings and enjoy a delicious herbal tea or a stronger drink.

Day 5. October 26

We will embark on a hike to the Mazeri Waterfalls. This trek takes you through a picturesque forest along a mountain river, where you can enjoy solitude and the beauty of nature. Be sure to wear comfortable footwear and clothing. After the hike, we’ll enjoy a lunch featuring trout at a cozy local restaurant.

Day 6. October 27

Today, we will journey to one of the most picturesque and remote corners of Georgia— the high-altitude village of Ushguli. Nestled in a scenic valley at the base of the majestic Mount Shkhara, the highest peak in Georgia, this unique region offers breathtaking views.

Our adventure begins with an exhilarating drive along mountain roads winding through stunning landscapes. Along the way, you’ll experience a remarkable range of nature, from alpine meadows to rugged, snow-capped peaks.

Upon arrival in Ushguli, you'll step into an ancient settlement where time seems to stand still. Here, you'll encounter towering medieval watchtowers, which once protected the local inhabitants from invaders. These stone structures are remarkably well-preserved and form a key part of the region's cultural heritage.

Take a leisurely stroll through the narrow streets, explore the ancient buildings, and soak in the unique atmosphere of this remote location. Among these rugged mountain villages, you'll feel a genuine connection with nature and history.

Don’t miss the chance to capture unforgettable photos against the backdrop of these majestic landscapes.

After a day full of exploration, we'll return to Mestia, enriched with experiences and emotions from this extraordinary corner of Georgia.

Day 7. October 28

A free day in Mestia. You have the option to arrange an additional trip to the Koruldi Lakes or take a trek to the Chalaadi Glacier, depending on weather conditions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a deeper immersion in the natural beauty of Svaneti.

 

Day 8. October 29

Departure from Mestia. On the way, we will make a stop at the Enguri Reservoir, where you'll take a tour of this grand structure.

The Enguri Hydro Power Plant, located on the Enguri River in Georgia, is one of the most powerful and impressive hydroelectric stations in the region. Completed in 1978, this plant holds a special place not only in Georgian energy history but also in engineering as a whole.

The hydroelectric plant is set in a picturesque location, surrounded by majestic mountains and lush forests. The main feature of the structure is its massive concrete dam, standing 272 meters high, making it one of the tallest in the world. The dam, glistening in the sunlight, creates a stunning contrast with the surrounding natural landscape.

Return to Tbilisi, concluding the tour and bidding farewell to this remarkable region.
